The Benefits of MonaVie

Vitamin Enriched
MonaVie fruit drinks contain essential nutrients including vitamins A, C, D and K, but are an expensive alternative for increasing your daily vitamin intake. Although the juice is made from fruits, which are rich in vitamins, the Food and Drug Administration does not categorize the product as a dietary supplement. There is no scientific evidence showing that MonaVie fruit drinks offer more healthful benefits than other fruit juices that sell at a fraction of the cost.

Antioxidant and Immune Boosting Power
MonaVie is made from many different fruits, several of which have high antioxidant content. The antioxidants contained in most fruits and vegetables work to fight off harmful free radicals in the body. The antioxidant properties found in nutrient rich fruits, in combination with other healthy living habits, may help to reduce the risk of diseases such as arthritis, cancer and coronary heart disease. Antioxidants also help to boost the immune system, making it easier to fight off illness.

Anti-Inflammatory Abilities
Some of the antioxidants, vitamins and minerals in MonaVie may have anti-inflammatory properties. For this reason, drinking MonaVie on a daily basis may be helpful to individuals who suffer from arthritis and rheumatism. Although there are not many clinical studies examining the effects of MonaVie for fighting inflammation, some individuals who drink the fruit juice regularly have reported feeling better.

Weight Loss
The acai berry, one of the main ingredients in MonaVie, is often touted as promoting weight loss because of the fruit's appetite-suppressing properties. Although the acai berry is rich in antioxidants, and contains vitamins, minerals, flavonoids and anthrocyanins, there is no significant scientific evidence supporting the claim that acai provides more healthful benefits than other fruits. People who drink MonaVie to kick-start a weight loss program should eat a healthy diet along with regular exercise. However, the FDA prohibits distributors from making claims that the product can aid in weight loss or prevent disease.
